Delivering on my Promise to Protect Our Values.
In 2004 Judson won the general election to become East Cobb and Sandy Spring's State Senator by winning almost 75% of the vote.
I asked for your vote with the simple promise that I'd go to the Georgia Dome to protect the values that have made us proud to be Americans.
I am excited to deliver on that promise. In the legislation I introduce and with each vote I cast, my desire is to promote effective solutions to the challenges our state faces and to provide visionary leadership that represents your values.
Since 2005 I have authored and successfully passed the nation’s first patient-centered prevention-focused free market healthcare reform legislation making healthcare and insurance more affordable for Georgia’s working families. Several of my healthcare bills have been adopted by national associations as model legislation. Since elected I was instrumental in the passage of Georgia’s comprehensive civil justice reform bill, championed efforts to enhance your quality of life by helping to improve the roads in our community, to assist small-business owners in growing their companies, to improve the quality of health care, improve the educational opportunities for our children. I also led the charge in the Senate to finally give the people of Sandy Springs the right to vote to become a city. Day to day I also strive to uphold the values of faith and family and to deliver with conservative common sense solutions that benefit our children, businesses and community.

It's a true privilege to represent and serve you at the Georgia Capitol. Several years ago I entered the race for the Georgia Senate with a pledge to represent those conservative principles and values that have made our State and country strong as well as to bring innovative solutions to the challenges we face. It's an honor to report to you that my legislative record reflects - Promises Kept!
In the Senate I serve as Chairman of the Healthcare Transformation Committee and the Redistricting & Reapportionment Committee. I am an active member of the Judiciary Committee, the Health & Human Services Committee, and the Transportation Committee. In addition, I Chair the Georgia World Congress Center & Georgia Dome Overview Committee, am Co-Chairman of the Georgia High School Sports Association Oversight Committee, and serve on MARTOC - the oversight committee for the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. I also serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus and previously served as a Deputy Majority Whip.
In 2004 I was honored to become your Senator. We began several important initiatives and have accomplished a lot. More needs to be done. Georgians need property tax reform and we must attract new quality jobs with an even more favorable economic environment. We must also continue to fight to improve your quality of life by easing traffic congestion through new road projects. I am working tirelessly to develop new free market based healthcare initiatives that will improve the quality of healthcare and bring savings to working families. Daily I work hard to deliver on this vision and on the other initiatives set forth on my website.
During these past four years it was an honor to be appointed as a Deputy Majority Whip and elected Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus. I have been recognized by the Georgia Family Council as the 2005 & 2007 Recipient of the Family Service Award, in 2008 named recognized by the National Federation of Independent Business Owners as well as to be honored as the Southeast Israel Consulate's 2006 Recipient of the Friend of Israel Award.
